You would be scored on your general handling of the situation. Marks would be given for introducing yourself and checking that you are speaking to the right person. You would need to confirm that you have been authorised by the patient to provide information about her condition. You would demonstrate some understanding of the enormity of what has befallen this family. You would be expected to give a clear statement of what the clinical findings were, what had been done and the need for histological confirmation. You would be expected to deal with the seriousness of the situation without being terrifying. You would need to describe the possibility of chemotherapy. You should also touch on the need for screening for her sisters and daughters.
